StarSeries Season 5 returns to Kiev

StarLadder have revealed the prize pool and location of StarSeries Season 5.

StarLadder have revealed that StarSeries Season 5 will return to Kiev's National Palace of Arts on June 2nd with $300,000 on offer. The group stage of the event will begin on May 28th, with eight teams advancing to the playoffs.

Although the details surrounding the event have yet to be revealed, it can be assumed that sixteen teams will once again compete in Kiev as they have in recent seasons. The $300,000 prize pool also remains unchanged from last season.

Season 4 saw Liquid claim third place after defeating FaZe in a best-of-three decider. Cloud9 were eliminated in the group stage, marking the beginning of their downward trend following their victory at the Boston Major. Hometown favourites Na`Vi are almost ensured an invite to the event after placing second in Season 4, and will likely be joined by the reigning champions in mousesports.
