ENCE declares bankruptcy

Finnish esports organization ENCE has announced it is shutting down due to bankruptcy. A short official statement was published on the club's X account.

After 13 years, the Board of Directors of ENCE eSports Oy has made the difficult decision to file for bankruptcy. To our players, staff and partners, thank you for everything. And most importantly, to our fans: thank you for standing with us through every victory and defeat. None of this would have been possible without you. GG.

ENCE opened its Counter-Strike division in 2013. Over the years, the club's rosters won more than $2.7 million in prize money in the game.

In March this year, ENCE announced that it had disbanded its entire Counter-Strike 2 main roster. On April 1, the organization promoted its academy lineup to the main team, and in June coach Aleksi "allu" Jalli took charge of the squad.

ENCE's lineup currently sits 103rd in Valve's official ranking of the world's strongest Counter-Strike 2 teams.
