CEO BC.Game: "Take all of our points away and let us start from scratch"
Esports organization BC.Game has issued an official statement regarding recent changes to the Major tournament regulations concerning the mechanism for teams switching regions. The statement was posted on X by the club's CEO, Ali Muhannad.
WE JUST WANT A FAIR CHANCE TO PROVE OURSELVES.
We’ve spent the last few days reading everything being said about BC Game, our Asian VRS ranking and the Major. We understand why Valve introduced stricter regional rules. The integrity of the system needs to be protected, and we respect that. But it’s difficult for us to accept that our situation is being treated the same as every other case.
Our current team has three Asian players (asap, mzinho and Senzu), three players who have competed at the highest level of Asian Counter-Strike. This is our core. These are the players we believe in. So instead of arguing about old points, interpretations or technicalities, we want to offer what we believe is the fairest possible solution.
Take all of our points away. Reset BC Game to 0 VRS points and let asap, mzinho, Senzu, s1mple and Magisk start from scratch. No previous ranking. No inherited points. No advantage. Only results earned by these five players from that moment forward should count.
This is exactly how we would be treated if a completely new organization entered Counter-Strike with these five players today. We’re not asking to be treated better than anyone else. We’re asking not to be treated worse. Give us the same starting line: zero.
We have around three weeks. We know going from zero to enough VRS points in that time might be almost impossible. We’re willing to accept that challenge. If we can’t earn enough points, we don’t go to the Major. We accept it. But if these five players start with absolutely nothing and somehow fight their way into a Major position in three weeks… then they earned it.
We don’t want to remove another player simply to find a technical solution. These are our five players. Let them win or lose their opportunity on the server. We’ve invested millions into Counter-Strike because we genuinely want to be part of this community and support its ecosystem. We’re not asking to take away something another team has earned. We’re willing to give away everything we have earned. Just give our five players the chance to earn it again. Start us from zero. Let us play. Let the server decide.
0 points. 5 players. 3 weeks. If we fail, we stay home. If we make it, we earned it.
Previously, team coach Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas also made a public statement criticizing the new rule introduced by Valve.
