Official: FUT signs SunPayus

27-year-old Spanish esports athlete Álvaro "SunPayus" García has become the new AWPer for FUT's Counter-Strike 2 roster. The official statement was posted on the club's X social media account.

García replaced Nikita "cmtry" Samolotov, whom the organization has benched. The Ukrainian player had represented the team since August of last year; prior to that, he competed for NAVI Junior.

Note that SunPayus represented G2 from June 2025 to June 2026, after which he was moved to the bench, where he remained until September 29. Before that stint, he was part of HEROIC and Falcons.

Currently, FUT holds the 8th spot in Valve's official world ranking of top Counter-Strike 2 teams. Previously, all squad members (except cmtry) extended their contracts with the club. The team will make its debut with the updated lineup at PGL Masters Bucharest 2026, scheduled for October 24-31.
