Official: Envy acquires 3DMAX CS2 roster

North American esports organization Envy has returned to the pro Counter-Strike scene by acquiring the 3DMAX roster. The official statement was made on X.

Envy was founded in 2007 and entered the pro CS:GO scene in early 2015 by acquiring the LDLC roster. In 2018, the organization moved away from its French lineup in favor of North American players. The club announced its departure from the discipline in 2021. In 2022, Envy ceased operations, becoming part of the OpTic brand. Finally, the club was revived in January 2025, launching squads for VALORANT and Marvel Rivals.

Currently, Envy holds the 21st spot in Valve's official world ranking of Counter-Strike 2. Recently, several current and former members of the team publicly addressed the issue of unpaid salaries by 3DMAX.
