G2's General Manager explains why kl1m didn't join main roster

G2's General Manager Petar Marković explained why Klimentii "kl1m" Krivosheev didn't return to the G2 Ares roster after departing MIBR, and why the organization decided not to include him in the main Counter-Strike 2 lineup.

We trust he outgrew the tier. Our current AWPer at Ares, Junyme, has a bit of a different playstyle, and he's also delivering the numbers and developing decently. So moving kl1m back to Ares would be a step back for both sides.

One of the primary reasons we decided not to get kl1m on board for our main team is the unfortunate visa situation with Russian players, and with the constant travel we anticipated (EWC to Copenhagen to Porto to China, as an example now in August), we did not want to take a risk of having to go for stand-ins in case we don't manage to secure his visa on time.

Notably, the 20-year-old Russian esports athlete left MIBR's Counter-Strike 2 roster in June of this year due to the expiration of his loan deal. kl1m had been competing for MIBR since August of last year, while prior to that, he represented G2's academy.
