Johnny Speeds benches two players and coach

Swedish esports club Johnny Speeds has announced big changes to its Counter-Strike 2 roster. The organization has benched two players – Tim "nawwk" Jonasson and Jonas "⁠Lekr0⁠⁠" Olofsson – and coach Adam "⁠friberg⁠" Friberg. According to the official statement, this decision was made due to unsatisfactory results.

⁠Lekr0⁠ has been playing for Johnny Speeds since July of last year; nawwk joined the squad in February 2026; friberg began working with the roster in January of this year. The club has not yet revealed the names of the esports athletes who will fill the vacant roster spots.

Currently, Johnny Speeds is 120th among the world's top Counter-Strike 2 teams according to HLTV. The team finished the season in the top 80 of the VRS ranking. Anton "Sapec" Palmgren also recently departed the team.
