XSE Pro League 2026 releases statement regarding tournament issues

Organizers of the ongoing XSE Pro League 2026 have released an official statement commenting on the technical and other issues teams and viewers encountered during the event's group stage.

As we reach the end of the group stage, we’d like to reach out to you and reflect on the tournament so far.

On Day 1, we encountered a series of technical issues that we were not adequately prepared for. We take full responsibility for the impact these problems had on the teams and your viewing experience.

By Day 2, we had resolved all issues identified on Day 1, but a power outage interrupted the final match. We really appreciate the patience and support shown by the crowd during the delay. The remaining 3 days of the group stage ran smoothly with minor delays.

We’d also like to address several topics discussed online:

  • The reports of some computers not having CS2 installed were caused by an SSD issue that was later resolved.
  • We acknowledge that insufficient preparation led to communication breakdowns with players and unnecessary delays. We are improving these processes.
  • A player’s hacked Steam account has been fully recovered with all inventory intact. The affected systems were wiped and reinstalled, additional training room PCs have been replaced, and the lead admin responsible has been dismissed.
  • The desks we used couldn’t sufficiently accommodate players with extremely forward arm positions. This issue is now resolved.
  • The subpar quality of the English broadcast stemmed from the Day 1 technical issues and has since been addressed.
  • The volunteer recruitment screenshots circulating online were not officially posted by XSE. Our production staff are fully employed under paid labour agreements, while volunteers assist only with peripheral event operations.

We appreciate all the feedback we’ve received and remain committed to earning back your trust. We’ll continue working hard to deliver the best possible playoffs experience and finish the event on a strong note.

XSE Pro League 2026 is taking place from July 1st to 12th in Guangzhou, China. The total prize pool of the event is one million US dollars. More detailed information about the event can be found in our article.
