HEROIC disbands CS2 academy

Esports organization HEROIC has announced the complete disbandment of its Counter-Strike 2 youth squad. The reasons for this decision have not been disclosed. The official statement, published on the club's X social media account, claims:

Today, we are announcing that we will be parting ways with our Counter-Strike Academy team.

Over the past several months, this team gave us plenty of reasons to be proud with multiple playoff appearances and a memorable victory over M80 at ROG JOURNEY among them. They competed with passion, and it showed.

To the players and staff who invested their time and energy into this project: thank you. It has been a genuine pleasure to watch you grow and compete under the HEROIC banner. We wish all of you nothing but the best in the next chapter.

At the time of disbandment, the roster was 156th in HLTV world ranking. It is unknown whether the team will continue to compete with its current lineup.
