NIP benches cairne

Swedish esports club NIP has officially announced changes to its Counter-Strike 2 roster: Artem "cairne" Mushynskyi has been benched.

The 23-year-old Ukrainian esports athlete has represented NIP since January of this year, having previously competed for Inner Circle. cairne's average rating over the past three months is 1.04 (in 49 maps). His replacement is still unknown. Mushynskyi himself commented on his departure from the starting five:

Over the past months, both the team and I put a lot of effort into making roles and positions work. We had many honest conversations, made adjustments, and worked hard to find a system where I could perform at my best while contributing to the team's goals.

Unfortunately, we came to realize that our fundamental approach to the game differs in some important ways and in the end, the team needs something different from what I naturally bring as a player, and I respect that decision.

As for myself, I’m feeling confident, motivated, and ready for what’s next and will now explore my opportunities.

NIP currently sits 25th in Valve's official ranking of the world's strongest Counter-Strike 2 teams. The squad failed to qualify for IEM Cologne Major 2026. NIP will compete at the XSE Pro League 2026 LAN tournament in China, which kicks off on July 1.

 NIP are now:

 Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer
 Rasmus "sjuush" Beck
 Kacper "xKacpersky" Gabara
 Martin "stavn" Lund

 Richard "Xizt" Landström (coach)
