ESIC bans four Russian players
The Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) has announced the disqualification of four players from Russia – Egor "zLy" Polyakov, Dmitry "propleh" Senigov, Aleksander "Ruler" Maximov, and Petr "timeagento" Markheev – for cheating and/or involvement in match-fixing across various teams and tournaments.
Of the four, only zLy received a lifetime ban – due to "the severity of the violations, the player's formal admission of guilt, and his request for a permanent disqualification." The 26-year-old esports athlete last competed in the open Asian qualifier for ESL Challenger Melbourne 2024 as part of SEAW. The remaining players received five-year bans.
propleh, known for his time with Monolith, 1win, and NASR, was part of Victory Zigzag, which qualified for BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2023 but was unable to attend after Joel "joel" Holmlund was banned by ESIC and coach Ivan "Hardwell" Alekseev received a FACEIT ban for cheating.
