9INE signs shield

Swedish esports club 9INE has completed its Counter-Strike 2 roster. The organization has signed Roberts "shield" Tipsis, who has been playing for the team as a stand-in for the past few weeks.

The 23-year-old Latvian esports athlete replaced Love "phzy" Smidebrant, who recently moved to Astralis. shield's average rating over the past three months is 1.15 (in 89 maps).

9INE currently sits 35th in Valve's official Counter-Strike 2 world ranking. The team missed StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 in Hungary and did not qualify for the BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 1 LAN finals.
