HLTV: Magisk to depart Astralis
According to unofficial reports, Emil "Magisk" Reif will not be competing for Astralis in the next competitive Counter-Strike 2 season. HLTV reported this, citing its own sources. The organization itself has not yet made any statements on the matter.
The 27-year-old Danish esports athlete joined the squad on September 1st of this year, replacing Martin "stavn" Lund, who took a break due to personal reasons. It was reported that the latter is unlikely to return to the club's active roster by the end of this year.
Earlier, a rumor surfaced on the web that Nicolai "device" Reedtz would take over as the new AWPer for 100 Thieves. Reedtz has represented Astralis for over three years, since October 2022.
Astralis currently sits 14th in Valve's official ranking of the world's strongest Counter-Strike 2 teams. The roster placed 17th-19th at StarLadder Budapest Major 2025.
Astralis are now:
Viktor "Staehr" Staehr
Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard
Nicolai "device" Reedtz
Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen
Emil "Magisk" Reif
Casper "ruggah" Due (coach)
