Vitality named Team of the Year at The Game Awards 2025, CS2 crowned Game of the Year
Vitality's Counter-Strike 2 roster has been named Team of the Year 2025 at the annual The Game Awards. In this category, the French squad bested Falcons (Dota 2), Gen.G (League of Legends), NRG (Valorant), and Team Liquid PH (Mobile Legends: Bang Bang).
Furthermore, Counter-Strike 2 itself has been chosen as Esports Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2025. Dota 2, League of Legends, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and Valorant were also in contention for the title.
However, Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut was not crowned Esports Player of the Year – the title went to Chovy from League of Legends.
The winners were determined by open audience voting and a jury panel. The award ceremony took place on December 11 in Los Angeles, USA.
