Astralis owners sell club
Danish esports organization Astralis has new owners, according to journalist Richard Lewis. He claims that the company was acquired by Fusion Esports Group. Media reports state that the deal will be officially announced in the coming days.
Nothing is known about Fusion Esports Group, except that it was officially registered on the same day, and its director is Jacob Lund Kristensen, founder and CEO of Copenhagen Wolves (2012-2016) and co-founder of Astralis and BLAST.
From December 2016 to August 2019, Kristensen worked at BLAST as Executive Vice President of Sales. He then returned to Astralis, where he served as Chief Revenue Officer until January 2023.
Notably, a few days ago, 27-year-old Danish esports athlete Emil "Magisk" Reif returned to Astralis' Counter-Strike 2 roster. He replaced Martin "stavn" Lund, who decided to take a break for personal reasons.
