Monte reveals new coach
36-year-old Austrian esports athlete Alexander "kakafu" Szymanczyk has taken over as the new coach of Monte's Counter-Strike 2 team - he replaced Ivan "AiyvaN" Semenets, who departed the squad. The Ukrainian organization officially announced this via X social media.
Szymanczyk served as an assistant coach at BIG from February to May last year, after which he temporarily took over as the team's head coach. In March 2025, he parted ways with BIG's Counter-Strike 2 roster, while in June he became a free agent.
At the moment, Monte occupies 68th place in the official ranking of the world's strongest Counter-Strike 2 teams according to Valve. Last month, the organization signed Oscar "AZUWU" Bell and Aurimas "Bymas" Pipiras.
