Hastr0: "Our organization feels pretty strongly like we left CS too early. It's time to go back"

North American esports organization Envy may return to the professional Counter-Strike scene in the foreseeable future. This was revealed by the club's founder Mike "hastr0" Rufail.

We're already scouting to bring a CS team back to Envy. We don't want to go in with a roster that doesn't have a shot. We're looking for the right opportunity to get Envy back to Counter-Strike Majors.

Our organization feels pretty strongly like we left it too early. It's time to go back and take care of some unfinished business.

In the short time we were in the CS scene, we managed to create some of the most exciting moments in Counter-Strike history.

We want to get back to that and support some of the best players in the world like we did with the French roster. We just want to make more memories in the game.

Envy was founded in 2007 and came to the pro CS:GO scene in early 2015, when it acquired the LDLC roster. In 2018, the organization abandoned the French squad in favor of North American players. In 2021, the club announced its departure from the discipline. In 2022, Envy ceased to exist, becoming part of the OpTic brand. Finally, in January 2025, Rufail revived the club, opening VALORANT and Marvel Rivals rosters.
