Valve announces regional distribution of invites to StarLadder Budapest Major 2025

Counter-Strike 2 developers have updated the regulations for the upcoming StarLadder Major in Budapest, including information on the distribution of invites by region based on the results of BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025.

Thus, Europe will receive five direct invitations to the third and second stages of the tournament; teams from America will secure two invites to each stage, while from Asia – one. 16 tickets to the first stage of the event will be distributed later (at the previous Major, Europe, America and Asia received six, six and four invites, respectively).

Another change in the regulations concerns the rosters: now it is impossible to change the starting five after receiving an invite to the Major. Five registered players at the time of receiving an invitation are considered the team's core. They can add one sub, which will not affect the team's region.

Earlier, Valve made new adjustments to the official regulations for holding Counter-Strike 2 tournaments. One of the innovations was the addition of the MENA subregion.
