HooXi signs with Astralis
30-year-old Danish esports athlete Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen has become a full member of Astralis' Counter-Strike 2 roster. The organization officially announced the signing of a contract with HooXi via its X social media account.
Note that Rasmus has been inactive since July 2024, when he was benched by G2. On January 1, 2025, he entered free agency. In April of this year, HooXi joined Astralis as a stand-in – the Dane took over as the team's IGL at PGL Astana 2025. He replaced Casper "cadiaN" Møller, who was benched by the club. Together with Nielsen, the squad placed second at the tournament in Kazakhstan.
Astralis lost the regional European qualifier for BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 – the team missed the fifth Counter-Strike Major in a row. At the moment, Astralis occupies 12th place in Valve's world ranking. The next event for Astralis will be IEM Cologne 2025, which will take place in July.
Astralis are now:
Viktor "Staehr" Staehr
Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard
Martin "stavn" Lund
Nicolai "device" Reedtz
Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen
Casper "ruggah" Due (coach)
