Asia get one slot from America at Starladder Budapest Major 2025

Based on the results of the second stage of BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, the distribution of spots between regions at the next Counter-Strike 2 Major, which will be held at the end of the year, was set.

Thus, six Asian teams will compete at Starladder Budapest Major 2025 instead of five – all thanks to the success of Lynn Vision and the failures of MIBR and M80 at the tournament in Austin. Accordingly, the number of American squads will be reduced from eleven to ten. The number of representatives from the European region will remain the same – 16.

Note that berths at the next Major are distributed among regions based on the number of rosters that got into the third stage of the previous Major.

StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 will take place from November 24 to December 14, 2025, with 32 teams competing for $1.25 million in prizes. The format of the event will be identical to the ongoing BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 in Austin, but in Budapest all stages of the competition will play out with live audience.
