Furlan leaves CS
30-year-old Polish esports athlete Damian "Furlan" Kislowski officially announced the end of his career as a pro Counter-Strike player, which lasted since 2013. Kislowski explained his decision as follows.
Until 2020, I felt a huge passion for this game. The opportunity to compete at LANs and tournaments and the adrenaline rush during matches were something I loved the most. It was something that gave me a lot of motivation. Unfortunately, with each passing year, especially playing from home, that passion slowly faded. For over a year, I’ve felt burned out, and despite trying, I couldn’t overcome it.
Furlan's last team was Illuminar – he departed it in December of last year. The player also previously competed for AGO, Kinguin and other clubs. Over the course of his career in Counter-Strike, he earned $277,000 in prizes.
