JANO disbands CS2 roster
Finnish esports club JANO has revealed the complete disbandment of its Counter-Strike 2 roster. This decision was made for financial reasons, as well as due to the team's unsatisfactory results.
At the same time, the official announcement claims that the organization does not plan to leave the discipline for good. "There is work ahead to build a more sustainable foundation so we can come back even stronger", reads a statement from JANO. It is not yet known whether the squad will continue to compete with the same starting five without the support of the club.
Over the past two months, the roster has won only one match out of 16 and dropped to 137th place in the world ranking of HLTV.org. JANO took the penultimate place at the local CS2 LAN tournament Elisa Nordic Championship 2025, which took place in Finland in May of this year.
JANO were:
Aleksi "allu" Jalli
Henri "HENU" Ylilehto
Jani "Aerial" Jussila
Joel "jelo" Lentonen
Joona "Sm1llee" Holmström
Slaava "Twista" Räsänen (coach)
