HEROIC and B8 win both matches on first day of BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025

First playday of the Austin Counter-Strike 2 Major has ended, during which the main candidates for elimination and for advancing to the second stage of the competition were outlined.

The following teams emerged victorious from the second round matches of the first stage: B8, HEROIC, FlyQuest, Wildcard, Complexity, Legacy, Nemiga, TYLOO – they bested OG, NRG, BetBoom Team, Lynn Vision, Fluxo, Chinggis Warriors, Imperial and Metizport respectively.

Thus, four squads finished the first playday of the event with a 2:0 match record – HEROIC, B8, Wildcard and FlyQuest. Four rosters, on the contrary, kicked off the tournament with two defeats in a row – Chinggis Warriors, Imperial, Metizport and Fluxo. The remaining participants currently have one win and one loss in the standings – BetBoom Team, Lynn Vision, OG, NRG, Complexity, TYLOO, Nemiga and Legacy.

The third round matchups of the first stage will play out today. The participants will be divided into three pools by the number of wins and losses (2:0, 1:1, 0:2); the squads will only face the opponents from their pool. Note that the eight strongest teams will advance to the next stage of BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025.
