ALTERNATE aTTaX leaves Counter-Strike

German esports club ALTERNATE aTTaX announced the final closure of its Counter-Strike 2 division. The squad members were given permission to look for new teams. The official statement, published on the organization's X social media account, reads:

At the turn of the year, we announced our withdrawal from professional Counter-Strike - combined with the ambition to build a new, sustainable and ambitious project.

Over the past few months, we have been working hard to realise this plan. Despite our great passion for Counter-Strike, however, we had to realise that the title does not currently offer the necessary basis, either economically or from a sporting perspective, to set up a long-term sustainable project.

Note that in October last year, ALTERNATE aTTaX announced the suspension of its Counter-Strike 2 division with the intention of later returning to the discipline with a new starting five. Several factors were cited as the reasons for this decision – financial difficulties, an unfavorable situation in the CS2 ecosystem, as well as strategic changes within the organization itself.

 ALTERNATE aTTaX's current squad is:

Marc "Askan" Deterding
Marcel "Cl34v3rs" Klos
Florian "FoG" Gloddek
Quang-Anh "hayanh" Nguyen
Leon "OneLion" Deuchert
