Vitality secure million dollars for winning ESL Grand Slam Season 5

Title at IEM Melbourne 2025 was the fourth in ESL Grand Slam for Vitality, which allowed the squad to win the fifth season of the prestigious award. The team members received one million US dollars in gold bars as a reward.

Notably, to win ESL Grand Slam, contenders had to secure trophies at four ESL Pro Tour tournaments in ten consecutive events, including at least one big competition of the elite Championship category (IEM Katowice, IEM Cologne, or an ESL Major). For Vitality, IEM Cologne 2024, IEM Katowice 2025, ESL Pro League Season 21, and IEM Melbourne 2025 were their winning tournaments.

Note that even if they failed at the recent event in Melbourne, the European roster would have had four more attempts to win $1 million. By the start of IEM Melbourne 2025, NAVI (two trophies) and MOUZ (one trophy) were also competing for ESL Grand Slam Season 5.

The winners of the first four seasons of ESL Grand Slam (previously known as the Intel Grand Slam) are Astralis, Liquid, NAVI, and FaZe – they won their awards in 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2023, respectively.
