SemperFi signs aliStair and Kingfisher
26-year-old Australian esports athlete Alistair "aliStair" Johnston has joined SemperFi's Counter-Strike 2 team. Johnston has replaced Ethan "vision" Holst. In addition, David "Kingfisher" Kingsford has been added to the roster as a head coach. The official announcement was published on the organization's X social media account.
Note that aliStair competed for FlyQuest from March to December of last year, after which the organization benched him. In early January 2025, he became a free agent.
Both SemperFi rookies have previously worked with each other in Renegades and Grayhound Gaming (in 2021 and 2022). Together, they managed to get to the Challengers stage at three Majors, namely PGL Stockholm, PGL Antwerp and IEM Rio.
Currently, SemperFi is occupies 233rd place in Valve's world ranking. The team is also in the top 80 strongest Counter-Strike 2 squads according to HLTV.org.
