ESL update rulebook on using skins and stickers at CS2 tournaments
ESL has made changes to its tournament rulebook. Among other things, it now includes a clause regulating the use of skins and stickers by players at ESL Counter-Strike 2 tournaments. The clause states:
All in-game items, including skins, nametags, and stickers (or any combination of stickers), must fully comply with the code of conduct and sponsor restrictions outlined in the General Rules
This rule was likely added after a recent incident involving 9 Pandas' Vladislav "Krad" Kravchenko. Last month, the Russian esports athlete used a Desert Eagle skin with stickers that spelled out the racist N-word. Because of that, the player was temporarily (for a month) suspended from participation in ESL Challenger League Season 49.
