FL4MUS to miss IEM Katowice 2025 playoffs
Virtus.pro's Timur "FL4MUS" Marev will miss the final stage of the ongoing IEM Katowice 2025 tournament, which is currently taking place in Poland – the Russian esports athlete's visa is expiring. Marev announced this via his Telegram channel.
It was my last game in this tournament because my visa runs out tomorrow. I did this visa before I joined Virtus.pro, and I have a new one for future tournaments, so there won't be any more problems.
FL4MUS did not specify who will replace him in the competition playoffs, however, according to HLTV.org, Nikolay "mir" Bityukov, who officially departed Virtus.pro in September of last year, will compete for the team. The club itself has not made any official statements on this matter yet.
Note that Virtus.pro won two matches in a row in the group stage of IEM Katowice 2025 (against G2 and Eternal Fire), having secured a slot in the playoffs. However, the squad lost to Vitality in the matchup for advancing to the semi-finals of the event.
IEM Katowice 2025 is taking place from January 29 to February 9 in Katowice, Poland. The competition features a prize pool of one million US dollars, which will be divided among 24 rosters.
