bodyy enters free agency

28-year-old French esports athlete Alexandre "bodyy" Pianaro announced that his contract with fnatic has ended, and he is now a free agent, searching for a new team. Pianaro wrote about this via his X social media account.

Today marks the end of my journey with fnatic. I want to thank the players and staff for the experiences we shared and the work we put in together. It wasn’t the easiest period for any of us, but I’m grateful for everything I’ve learned along the way. A special thanks to the management for their support in reaching a mutual agreement to part ways, which puts me in a much better position to find my next home.

I’m still as hungry as ever and looking for a new team, either as a player or an IGL, if our visions align on what a team should be. I’ve been grinding FACEIT a monstrous amount of time the past few weeks, rediscovering the feelings that had been missing after a tough year where I wasn’t playing in a way that truly brought out the best in me. That chapter is now behind me, and I’m eager to prove myself again in a new environment.

bodyy competed for fnatic from November 2023 to January 2025, after which the organization benched him along with Tim "nawwk" Jonasson. In their places, the club signed two Ukrainian players – Rodion "fear" Smyk and Denys "Burmylov" Buraga.
