Valve announces Season Two of Premier in CS2
Counter-Strike 2 developers officially announced the release of a big patch next week – it will include a new season of Premier, changes to the map pool, and tweaks to some weapons. The main points from Valve's statement:
- Premier Season Two kicks off next week;
- all players who had a rating in Season One will receive a commemorative Premier Season One Medal, as well as a special menu with statistics for the season;
- before the start of Season Two, there will be one day of off-season, when the player's rating will be recalibrated based on the results of Season One. To get a rating in Season Two, you will have to play 10 calibration matches;
- in Season Two, Train will replace Vertigo;
- the prices of M4A4 and FAMAS will be reduced, while FAMAS will receive an improvement in shooting accuracy in a standing and crouching position;
- Season Two will end after the Austin Major, players who meet the requirements will be awarded a commemorative medal for their performance in the season. The color of the medal will correspond to the highest rating achieved during the season, while the stripes will reflect the total number of wins (one stripe for every 25 wins, maximum five stripes);
- In order to receive a medal for Season Two, you will need ab account in good standing, 25 Premier match wins, and an active CSR at the end of the season
Notably, Premier Season One in Counter-Strike 2 started with the release of the game, that is, about a year and a half ago. Season Two will end immediately after BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, which is scheduled for June 9-22, 2025.
