RED Canids signs felps

28-year-old Brazilian esports athlete João "felps" Vasconcellos has joined RED Canids' Counter-Strike 2 roster. The club officially announced this via its X social media account.

felps' previous team was Imperial – he competed for it since July of 2023, while before that he represented Fluxo and GODSENT. Over the course of his career as a Counter-Strike pro, Vasconcellos has earned $404,000 in prize money.

Two players were excluded from the active RED Canids roster at once after the squad's unsuccessful performance in the qualifiers for Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024. The esports athletes in question are David "dav1deuS" Tapia Maldonado and Gabriel "nython" Lino. The former recently moved to paiN, while the latter is still on RED Canids' bench. In November 2024, the team also bid farewell to coach Raynon "farao" Carvalho.

Rumors suggest that Marcelo "nyezin" Ramos will be the fifth member of the RED Canids roster. Moreover, the media reports that Henrique "HEN1" Teles is set to extend his contract with the organization. The team's debut with the updated starting five will take place on January 22 at ESL Challenger League Season 49 South America.

 RED Canids are now:

 Carlos "venomzera" Eduardo
 Marcelo "coldzera" David
 Henrique "HEN1" Teles
 João "felps" Vasconcellos
