NAVI closes its female CS2 roster
Ukrainian esports club NAVI has officially closed its female Counter-Strike 2 roster. The announcement was published on the organization's website and social media accounts.
"At the moment, the business model for that esports segment seems unsustainable and does not allow for long-term planning", reads a statement from NAVI. According to HLTV.org, the former NAVI Javelins players will not compete together with the previous roster. The team currently occupies 143rd place in HLTV ranking.
Note that over the past few weeks, four big esports organizations have announced the disbandment of their women's Counter-Strike 2 squads. The clubs in question are Astralis, TSM, Team Spirit and ENCE.
Last month, tournament operator ESL unveiled details regarding the ESL Impact tournament series for 2025. The prize pool for each of the two ESL Impact seasons planned for next year will amount to $150,000. In addition, the company introduced a new club incentive program.
NAVI Javelins had:
Wiktoria "vicu" Janicka
Hania "Hanka" Pudlis
Angelika "Angelka" Kozłowska
Mayline-Joy "ASTRA" Champliaud
