Valve release first update of ranking of top CS2 teams in 2025

Counter-Strike 2 developers have released the first update of the official ranking this year, which will be used to issue invites to three upcoming tournaments – IEM Katowice 2025, PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025, and ESL Pro League Season 21.

The top ten teams currently include G2, Team Spirit, The MongolZ, Vitality, FaZe, MOUZ, NAVI, HEROIC, and Liquid.

Best eight squads in Valve's ranking will be directly invited to the main stage of IEM Katowice 2025; rosters ranked 9th to 24th will secure invites to the Play-In stage.

In addition, the top twelve teams will be invited to ESL Pro League Season 21 (the rest of the spots went to the winners of last year's ESL Challenger & ESL Challenger League events).

Finally, 16 best teams according to Valve's ranking will have the opportunity to participate in PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 with a prize pool of $1.25 million.
