Monte promotes two academy players to main team
Ukrainian esports organization Monte has completed its Counter-Strike 2 roster. The new members of the team are Gytis "ryu" Glušauskas and Jack "Gizmy" von Spreckelsen, both former Monte academy players. The announcement was published on the club's official X social media account.
Glušauskas and von Spreckelsen replaced Kamil "KEi" Pietkun and Szymon "kRaSnaL" Mrozek, who were removed from the squad last month along with coach Piotr "nawrot" Nawrocki. The Lithuanian's average rating over the past three months amounted to 1.23 (in 22 maps); the Briton's average rating is 1.10 (in 29 maps).
It was also recently revealed that Monte had disbanded its Counter-Strike 2 youth roster, with all team members allowed to move to other clubs without having to pay a transfer fee.
Note that Monte failed to qualify for the Europe RMR for Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 in China. The squad currently occupies 42nd place in HLTV ranking.
Monte are now:
Sergiy "DemQQ" Demchenko
Olek "hades" Miskiewicz
Paweł "dycha" Dycha
Gytis "ryu" Glušauskas
Jack "Gizmy" von Spreckelsen
