PGL drops Argentina tournament – event moved to Romania

Tournament operator PGL has announced a change of venue for its first Counter-Strike 2 tournament in 2025, scheduled for February 14th-23rd.

The company was originally planning to hold the event in Buenos Aires, Argentina, but due to a tight tournament schedule, it was decided to move the competition to Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

PGL also announced the exact dates when invites to the 2025 competitions will be issued, based on Valve's official ranking:

PGL Cluj Napoca 2025: January 6;
PGL Bucharest 2025: February 3;
PGL Astana 2025: March 3;
PGL Belgrade 2025: September 1.

Moreover, the tournament operator revealed that all upcoming CS2 events will feature eight-team playoffs, with third-place decider matches planned for the events.

Finally, PGL also continues its commitment to pay out all prizes within two weeks of a tournament conclusion, which is significantly faster than competing TOs.
