PGL announces 11 CS2 tournaments to be held in Kazakhstan, Argentina, and other countries

Tournament operator PGL has announced several big Counter-Strike 2 tournaments to be held in 2025 and 2026. The company has planned a total of 11 events. The competitions will take place in Buenos Aires (Argentina), Bucharest (Romania), Astana (Kazakhstan), Belgrade (Serbia), Sao Paulo (Brazil), and Barcelona (Spain).

The prize pool for each of the announced tournaments will be $1.25 million. The organizers will allocate $450,000 separately for each competition – these funds will be spent on organizing flights and accommodation for the teams.

Each event will be divided into two parts: a group stage (Swiss system for 16 teams) and playoffs (Single Elimination for 8 teams). At the same time, all tournaments will be held separately from each other (i.e. there will be no unified ratings and invites for the winners).

Due to the very tight tournament schedule, PGL refused to hold open qualifiers – all participants of the upcoming competitions will be determined based on the official Valve ranking. At tournaments in South America, two slots will be reserved for representatives of the region.
