SAW rounds out CS2 roster

Portuguese esports club SAW has found a replacement for Michel "⁠ewjerkz⁠" Pinto, who was benched yesterday and put up for transfer. The new member of the team is José "Shr" Gil. The announcement was published on the organization's X social media account.

Shr's previous team was GTZ – he competed for it since September of this year. In 2021, the 23-year-old Portuguese esports athlete was a member of the SAW academy squad. Gil's average rating over the past three months is 1.35 (in 14 maps). Throughout his career as a Counter-Strike pro player, which kicked off in 2019, Shr has earned $11,000 in prize money.

Note that SAW placed 9th-11th in the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 Europe RMR and did not qualify for the Shanghai Major. The squad currently occupies 18th place in HLTV world ranking.
