SAW puts ewjerkz up for transfer

Portuguese esports club SAW announced changes to its Counter-Strike 2 roster after an unsuccessful performance in the Shanghai Major qualifier.

The organization benched and put up for transfer 24-year-old Michel "ewjerkz" Pinto, who represented SAW for over two years, since July 2022. "Recently, ewjerkz revealed a strong interest in seeking a challenge abroad, in order to strengthen his growth as a Counter-Strike professional, as well as his eagerness to explore new opportunities on the international stage", the official announcement from the club states.

ewjerkz's average rating over the past three months amounted to 1.13 (in 47 maps). Over the course of his career, he has earned $94,000 in prize money. It is not yet known who will fill the vacant position on the roster.

Note that in October, Rafael "arrozdoce" Wing, who had been competing for the team since April 2023, also departed SAW. His place was taken by André "Ag1l" Gil. After that, the squad also changed their coach: Maikil "Golden" Selim replaced Danny "BERRY" Krüger.

SAW placed 9th-11th in the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 Europe RMR and did not qualify for the Major. As of now, the team occupies 18th place in HLTV ranking.

 SAW are now:

 Ricardo "roman" Oliveira
 João "story" Vieira
 Christopher "MUTiRiS" Fernandes
 André "Ag1l" Gil

 Maikil "Golden" Selim (coach)
