Virtus.pro reveals new VP.Prodigy roster

Esports organization Virtus.pro unveiled a new youth Counter-Strike 2 roster – it features five young players from Russia of 16-17 years old. The announcement was published on the club's official website.

The team members are Vladimir "b1st" Krasikov, Daniil "TriBorgg1" Buchkovskiy, Vadim "tO0RO" Arkov, Artyom "turbo" Dobryshev and Alexander "AquaRS" Kovalev. The first will take over the role of an AWPer in the lineup, while the last will take on the responsibilities of an IGL. The players' ELO ranges from 3100 to 3800.

The coach of the newly formed team Dmitriy "ProbLeM" Martinov commented on the announcement of the new VP.Prodigy roster.

The goals and philosophy of the club regarding the youth team remain unchanged: to help young players develop their skills and find their place in the competitive scene. With the previous roster, we made significant progress, as evidenced by our 66th place in the world ranking and the fact that all five players caught the interest of other teams and got direct transfers.

We have gathered young players who have long-term potential. Although they currently have little experience, both playing and competitive, they are focused on development. We will help them showcase their skills through a structured training system and regular practice in competitive matches.

Note that in August of this year, Virtus.pro unveiled the launch of a new Counter-Strike 2 academy. "VP.Future will be the first stage in working with talented young esports athletes", – the official announcement claimed at the time. That same month, the club sold or put up for transfer players from the previous VP.Prodigy starting five.
