s1mple's LAN debut after period of inactivity peaked at 164,000 viewers
ESL Challenger Katowice 2024 broadcast during Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev's debut match under the Falcons tag on LAN peaked at 164,000 viewers. The statistics were shared by the analytical service Esports Charts on X social media account.
Falcons played their first match at the tournament against SAW – the matchup ultimately ended with a scoreline of 13:11 (on the Ancient map) in favor of the Portuguese squad. Falcons dropped to the lower bracket of the group, where tomorrow they will face Eternal Fire in an elimination match.
Note that the very first match of the Ukrainian esports athlete after a long period of inactivity attracted significantly more viewers – 247,000 people spectated s1mple's debut under the Falcons tag at Thunderpick World Championship 2024. The team eventually lost two matches in a row at this event and placed last.
