MOUZ and Virtus.pro round out list of IEM Rio 2024 playoff participants
The last tickets to the final stage of the IEM Rio 2024 Counter-Strike 2 tournament went to MOUZ and Virtus.pro. Both teams prevailed over their opponents in the final matches of the group stage.
In the lower bracket final of Group A, MOUZ bested FaZe (13:7 on Dust2, 14:16 on Mirage, 13:7 on Nuke). Virtus.pro, in turn, knocked The MongolZ (13:10 on Ancient, 13:3 on Dust2) out of the tournament and became the winner of the losers' final of Group B. The losing squads shared 7th-8th place and won $6,000 in prizes each.
IEM Rio 2024 is held from October 7 to 13 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The event features a prize pool of $250,000 – it will be divided among eight rosters. The winner will secure $100,000 and a ticket to IEM Katowice 2025.
