MIBR signs Lucaozy

Brazilian esports club MIBR has officially announced a replacement in its Counter-Strike 2 roster: Lucas "Lucaozy" Neves has become the newest member in the starting five. Neves replaced Breno "brnz4n" Poletto, who has been representing MIBR for over two years – since May of 2022. The latter had been benched.

Notably, MIBR had previously been interested in Lucaozy: in May of last year, the club was ready to pay $280,000 for Lucas' transfer, but the player himself refused the offer. Lucaozy represented Fluxo from August 2022 until today. The esports athlete recorded an average rating of 1.20 over the past three months (in 82 maps).

Fluxo has already found a replacement for Lucaozy – the vacant position on the roster was taken by Guilherme "piriajr" Barbosa.

Fluxo failed to secure a spot at Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 RMR – the team lost the closed qualifier. MIBR, in turn, was invited to the tournament directly based on Valve ranking.

Note that MIBR entered the top 4 at the recent ESL Pro League Season 20 event. The team's debut with the updated lineup will take place today at ESL Challenger League Season 48 South America – the squad will face Imperial.
