Israeli club Finest owes players over $70,000 after shutting down

Israeli esports organization Finest, which closed in 2022, owes its former CS:GO players over $70,000 in prize money and salaries.

In the spring of 2022, the team placed first at Pinnacle Cup IV, earning $80,000. Only two players, Simon "twist" Eliasson and Rasmus "kreaz" Johansson, received a share of this prize money. The organisation still owes rest of the team members, namely Niclas "PlesseN" Plessen, Kristjan "shokz" Jakobson, Guy "anarkez" Trachtman, and coach Jędrzej "Bogdan" Rokits, $13,000 each.

Former players of the club also claim that Finest unilaterally terminated their contracts – without 30-day notice and payment of a monthly salary as stipulated by their contract.

Founded in 2019, Finest was one of the largest and most successful esports organizations in Israel. In addition to the CS:GO roster, the club owned Valorant, Fortnite and FIFA squads. In the fall of 2022, Finest disbanded its rosters and shut down due to financial issues.
