OG and fnatic advance to closed qualifier for IEM Rio 2024
fnatic and OG have won the first open qualifier for the autumn Counter-Strike 2 tournament IEM Rio 2024. Both teams advanced to the closed stage of the qualifying cycle.
In the decisive matches of the qualifier, Christoffer "Chr1zN" Storgaard defeated B8, and the Alexandre "bodyy" Pianaro prevailed over QUAZAR. The competition also featured ENCE, NIP, GamerLegion, TSM and about 600 other teams.
On August 18 and 19, the second open qualifier will take place in Europe, which will feature two more slots at the closed qualifier. The current team list for the closed qualifier looks as follows:

IEM Rio 2024 will be held from October 7 to 13, 2024 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with 16 rosters competing for $250,000 in prize money. The winner will secure a ticket to IEM Katowice 2025. The list of invitees can be found via the link.
