BetBoom Team to miss IEM Cologne 2024

BetBoom Team will not be able to compete at the upcoming IEM Cologne 2024 tournament in Germany due to visa issues. The organization announced this via its social media accounts.

The club's CEO Alexander Sevirinov commented on the announcement as follows:

The organization's management did everything possible in preparing and submitting documents so that the team could attend the event, but, unfortunately, the visa issuance deadlines have now been extended, and it is difficult to impact this.

The organizers of IEM Cologne 2024 have already found a replacement for BetBoom Team – the vacant spot at the competition went to 3DMAX.

Earlier it became known that the European team HEROIC will compete at IEM Cologne 2024 without Abdul "degster" Gasanov – Volodymyr "⁠Woro2k" Veletniuk will play instead. FURIA's assistant coach Viacheslav "innersh1ne" Britvin will also miss the competition.

IEM Cologne 2024 will take place from August 7 to 18 in Cologne, Germany, with 24 rosters participating. The event will feature a total prize pool of $1 million. The organizers recently revealed the tournament brackets for the first and second stages of the event.
