JUGi returns to VALORANT

Danish esports athlete Jakob "JUGi" Hansen has finally announced his retirement from the Counter-Strike pro scene. He told about this via his X social media account, explaining his decision by the fact that he likes CS2 much less than CS:GO and VALORANT.

I have decided to give everything to make a comeback in VALORANT. <...> I had some offers in CS2 and also played with a few teams, but it’s just not the game I used to love. I enjoy VALORANT way more.

Note that this spring, JUGi said that he misses Counter-Strike and wants to continue his career in CS2. "I'm back to my favorite game and ready to show the world what I'm capable of again!" Jacob wrote back then.

JUGi competed in CS:GO from 2015 to 2021. During this period, he got to represent such famous clubs as Tricked, HEROIC, OpTic, North and Astralis. After that, Hansen switched to the discipline from Riot Games.

During his career as a pro Counter-Strike player, the 27-year-old Danish esports athlete has earned $118,000 in prize money. On the VALORANT pro scene, Hansen represented only one club – FOKUS; in about a year and a half, he won about $7,000.
