paiN secures ticket to IEM Rio 2024

Rodrigo "biguzera" Bittencourt's squad won the closed South American qualifier for the autumn Counter-Strike 2 tournament IEM Rio 2024.

paiN defeated Imperial with a scoreline of 2-1 in the final of the qualifier. MIBR and RED Canids also participated in the competition, having finished third and fourth, respectively. The final bracket of the qualifier looks as follows:

Four more spots at IEM Rio 2024 will be featured at the regional qualifiers: two in Europe (August 26-28), one in Asia (August 1-2), and one in North America (August 31-September 1).

IEM Rio 2024 will be held from October 7-13, 2024 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with 16 rosters participating. Squads will compete for $250,000 in prize money. The winner will secure a ticket to IEM Katowice 2025. The list of invited teams can be found via the link.
