nitr0 – NRG's new IGL
Famous American esports athlete Nick "nitr0" Cannella officially joined NRG's Counter-Strike 2 roster. Cannella replaced Colby "Walco" Walsh as team's IGL. The Canadian, in turn, departed the organization and became a free agent. The announcement was published on NRG's X social media account.
Walco has represented NRG since March of this year. With him, the squad participated in various regional competitions, including ESL Challenger League Season 47 North America, where NRG placed 5th-6th, losing its chances of advancing to the 20th season of EPL.
Note that since January of this year, nitr0 has competed for M80 in the VALORANT discipline. He recently announced his return to the CS pro scene again. Previously, nitr0 had already moved from discipline to discipline: in 2020, he left for VALORANT under the 100 Thieves tag, but in 2021 returned to CS and started competing for Liquid again.
As part of NRG, Cannella reunited with his former teammates Josh "oSee" Ohm and Damian "daps" Steele, with whom he previously competed under the Liquid tag.
NRG are now:
Josh "oSee" Ohm
Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte
Jadan "HexT" Postma
Timothy "autimatic" Ta
Nick "nitr0" Cannella
Damian "daps" Steele (coach)
