GuardiaN returns to CS pro scene as coach

Eminent Slovak esports athlete Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács has returned to the Counter-Strike pro scene, taking over as a coach of a completely new team BC.Game, which is sponsored by a crypto casino of the same name. BC.Game announced the opening of its CS division on Monday, June 24.

BC.Game's starting five is currently unknown. The organization is expected to reveal the remaining roster members by the end of June. In a comment to HLTV, Kovács explained that he himself is responsible for selecting players for the squad.

I am building a team with players who have not yet had the opportunity to play in their optimal roles and who deserve more chances to showcase their true potential. With my extensive experience of both the highs and lows in the world of CS, I believe I can guide and support them on their journey to achieve their best.

GuardiaN has not competed on the pro scene since departing Sampi at the end of 2022. At the same time, Ladislav is one of the most decorated esports athletes in competitive Counter-Strike: from 2014 to 2019, he won 17 international titles under the auspices of Virtus.pro, NAVI and FaZe. He began his career back in 2006 and since then has earned around $800,000 in prize money.
