The MongolZ win YaLLa Compass 2024
Garidmagnai "bLitz" Byambasuren's squad won the big LAN tournament YaLLa Compass 2024, which took place from June 5 to 9 in the capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi.
In the final, The MongolZ defeated NIP. The match ended with a scoreline of 2:1 – 12:16 on Ancient, 13:7 on Mirage, 13:6 on Nuke.
Both finalists finished the group stage of the championship with a 4-1 record. The European roster eventually advanced to the quarter-finals of the playoffs, while the lineup from Mongolia went straight to the semi-finals. En route to the final, NIP eliminated fnatic and FURIA from the event, while The MongolZ bested Astralis.
For first place, The MongolZ received $200,000. The runner-up earned $56,000. Astralis and FURIA, which shared 3rd-4th place, secured $28,000 each. The event featured a total prize pool of $400,000.
